WICHITA, Kan. —
A quick phone call on his 16th birthday was all Conner Frankamp needed to verbally commit to the Jayhawks.
Frankamp was high on KU's list for a long time and the North high star made it official today, at least in principal. He can't sign with the school for another year.
He led the City League in scoring last season and set the single game scoring record with 52 points against Northwest last season, averaging 49 percent from the field, 43 from three-point range and 89 percent at the free throw line.
Frankamp just returned from Mexico playing with the US Under-16 National Basketball team.
