COSTA MESA — Senior Amanda Couch had a goal and an assist to lead the host Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game on Saturday.
No. 11-ranked Vanguard amassed a 30-0 advantage in shots to improve to 8-2, 4-0 in conference.
Kayla Arenas and Ashley McCutcheon added goals for the winners, for whom three goalies shared the shutout.
VU has won four straight, all shutouts, and has outsocred foes, 30-5 this season.

COSTA MESA — Jessica Neves had seven kills to help lead the Lions to a 25-7, 25-19, 25-15 Golden State Athletic Conference win Saturday.
Carly Maxwell led Vanguard (13-9, 4-3 in conference) with 11 assists and nine digs.
Arizona Christian is 7-13, 0-6.

IRVINE — Aly Squires had 11 kills and nine digs to lead the Anteaters, but the Aggies won, 25-23, 25-21, 25-20 Saturday.
Sydney Wright had 10 kills, Kristin Winkler had 14 digs and Molly Yoder finished with 12 digs for the Anteaters (8-11, 3-3 in conference).
UC Davis is 9-9, 3-2.
