ST. PAUL, Minn. - Agricultural lenders and farm management professionals are invited to attend the 28th Annual Agricultural Lenders Day conference at the University of Minnesota Southwest Minnesota Research and Outreach Center in Lamberton, Minn. on Aug. 9, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Danny Klinefelter, Professor and Extension Economist with Texas A & M University will be the keynote speaker. Klinefelter is a nationally recognized speaker on farm management and agricultural finance issues. He is the recipient of many national awards and serves on several national and regional boards and committees. He will address “The Twelve Best Management Practices for Agricultural Producers” as well as "The Domestic and Agricultural Economic Outlook."

Current crop production research, financial trends from the Southwest Minnesota Farm Business Management Association farms, and a University Agriculture and Business Management Update will also be presented by Southwest Minnesota Outreach and Research Center staff and Extension educators.

The conference is sponsored by the Southwest Minnesota Farm Business Management Association, The University of Minnesota Southwest Research and Outreach Center and University of Minnesota Extension.
