In the NAIA semifinals, host Lenoir-Rhyne University defeated the Wolves 20-7 in Hickory, N.C., on Dec. 1 before 6,800 fans. The Bears got off to a 20-0 start in the first half. Central Oklahoma won the national title over Lenoir-Rhyne 28-13 on Dec. 8 in the Camellia Bowl in Sacramento, Calif.
