Thoroughbred Threads signs agreement with St. Catharine College
Thoroughbred Threads LLC has signed a two-year agreement with St. Catharine College to take over operation of the St. Catharine College Spirit Shoppe and school store in Springfield.
The store will offer apparel, souvenirs, supplies and convenience items for on-campus/commuter students, staff and visitors to campus. In addition, Thoroughbred Threads will offer screen printing, embroidery and promotional items to campus groups and businesses in the Washington County area.

Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment sponsors arts center exhibit
Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment, a family-owned company, is a supporting sponsor for the upcoming Community Arts Center exhibit, “Wild West.”
Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment has operated in the Bluegrass for more than 65 years, manufacturing and distributing all types of farm and ranch equipment, including gates, cattle chutes, horse stalls, fencing and feeders.

Cancer Center nurse receives national oncology certification
Kelly Ramos, RN, OCN, of Commonwealth Cancer Center in Danville, recently completed national certification requirements for oncology nursing.
A 1998 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Ramos brings 12 years of oncology nursing experience to her role as a rounding/staff nurse at the center. Her work includes patient care and education, physician rounding, treatment planning and chemotherapy administration.
Ramos lives in Danville with her husband Jose and has two children, Braylon and Helen.
The Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation, an affiliated corporation of the Oncology Nursing Society, develops, administers and evaluates programs for certification in oncology nursing (www.oncc.org).

Davenport named EMH Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer
Sally Davenport, R.N., M.S., NEA-BC, has been named Ephraim McDowell Health’s Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nursing Officer with responsibility for nursing and clinical operations for Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, Ephraim McDowell Clinics, A Children’s Place and McDowell Place of Danville.
“I am very pleased and humbled to be selected as the COO/CNO for Ephraim McDowell Health,” says Davenport. “I look forward to working with the physicians, associates and leadership in meeting the needs of our patients and the community.”
Davenport joined Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in 2007 and most recently served as vice president of patient care services/chief nursing officer. She is a seasoned nurse executive with 25 years of experience in nursing administration as well as a clinical foundation in oncology nursing and hospital staff development. Davenport received her baccalaureate degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, NE and her master’s degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE and completed the Johnson and Johnson Wharton School of Business Executive Nurse Fellowship. She also earned Nursing Executive, Advanced certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Davenport is a member of the Danville Rotary Club, the American Organization of Nurse Executives and Sigma Theta Tau nursing honorary society. She serves as Advisory Council member for the Eastern Kentucky University Nursing Program, Nursing Advisory Board member for Midway College, treasurer for McDowell House Board of Managers and secretary for the Kentucky Organization of Nurse Leaders.
She and her husband, Mike, live in Danville. Both enjoy golf and share a passion for college sports, particularly football.
