LIBERTY — Virginia Bell Sweeney, 94, died Tuesday.
Born Feb. 26, 1918, in Glendale, she was a daughter of the late Bowen and Myra Fleener Bell.
She was the widow of Dr. Garnett Jones Sweeney Sr. and a member of First Christian Church in Liberty.
Survivors include her children, Dr. G.J. (Shelley) Sweeney, Barbara Sue (Larry) Griffin and Don (Pam) Sweeney; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Bell of Columbia.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Memorials may go to First Christian Church or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
