WAYNESBURG — Alberta Adams Jenkins, 86, of Jenkins Road in Kings Mountain, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at her residence.
She was born July 1, 1925, in Highland to the late Delmar and Bertha Bastin Adams. She attended Pleasant Point Baptist Church, enjoyed painting and playing the piano and was a homemaker.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Jenkins; four brothers, Oliver Adams, Melvin Adams, Thelbert Adams and Delmar Adams Jr.; and three sisters, Ottie Marie Adams, Viola Ross and Ocolea McMann.
Survivors include her son, John Harvey Jenkins of Somerset; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, at Pleasant Point Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Rhodus and Bro. Ed Bray, and burial will follow at Pleasant Point Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steven Dean, Rodney Elkins, William Robert Hubbard, Michael Jenkins, Jeffrey Jenkins and Robert Dunham.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at the church.
