STANFORD — Bettye Lee Reed Roberts, 82, of Stanford died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011, at her home.
Born Dec. 14, 1928, in Stanford, she was a daughter of the late Clark Thomas and Jewel Agnes Horton Reed. She was a retired medical secretary and the widow of Everett Hanson Roberts.
Survivors include a son, Lee Roberts of Staffordsville, Ky.; a daughter, Pamela Lynn Roberts of Union City, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Donnie Gilliam, Dannie Gilliam, Michael Huntsberger, Bill Demrow, Jeff Ralston and Jim “Mud Turtle” Hazlett. Honorary bearers will be Nell Long, Helen Ingram, Betty Price, Wanda Barrett and John Huntsberger.
Visitation is 4:30-9 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to American Cancer Association or Heritage Hospice.
