LANCASTER — Carmadene "Connie" Brock Laswell, 80, of Lancaster died Feb. 6, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Johnnie Ray Laswell.
Connie was born in Lincoln County to the late Roscoe and Okie Hoskins Brock. She was a secretary for Garrard County High School for many years.
Connie is survived by two sisters, Iris Coleman and Susan Wyler (Paul), both of Lancaster. Also surviving are two nieces, Jean Brown and Marissa Decker of Stanford; three nephews, Tony Ray Dollins Sr. of Virginia Beach, Va., R. Scott Coleman of Lancaster and Christian Wyler of Lancaster.
Also preceding her in death were three sisters, Joyce Dollins, Freda McGohon and Barbara Brown.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Billy Laswell officiating. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are R. Scott Coleman, Tony Ray Dollins Sr., Tony Ray Dollins Jr., Paul Wyler, Christian Wyler, Greg Laswell, Johnnie Laswell and David Laswell.
Honorary pallbearers are Garrard County High administration, staff, faculty and students from 1964-1988.
