HARRODSBURG — Gerald “Jerry” Alan Gray, 69, husband of Glenda Burns Gray, died Sept. 12, 2012, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born Dec. 5, 1942, in Burgin, he was a son of the late William Floyd and Anne Louise Gray. He was a retired fusion operator for 42 years at Corning Inc., a member of the Burgin Baptist Church Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class and was a former trustee at the church. Jerry also served in the U.S. Army.
Other survivors include a son, Keith Burns (Angela) Gray of Burgin; a daughter, Kathy Gray (Terry) Martin of Burgin; a brother, Gene (Patsy) Gray; several grandchildren, Dustin (Tammy) Mobley, Ashleigh (Sean) Bottoms, Evan (Mackenzie) Mobley, Spencer Gray and Alyssa Martin; two great-grandchildren, Rylan Mobley and Emma Claunch; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday at Burgin Baptist Church with Bro. Carl McCray officiating. Burial will be in Burgin Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Thacker, Stanley Riney, Granville Sherrow, Johnny Carr, A.T. Dean Jr. and G.T. Shannon. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Burgin Baptist Church.
