STANFORD — Marvin Brock, 76, of Waynesburg, died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born Sept. 28, 1934, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late John H. and Josie Brummett Brock. He was a carpenter, and Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Lucille “Lucy” Williams Brock of Waynesburg; a daughter, Debbie Rollins of Richmond; two stepdaughters, Kathy Hawley (Richie) of Crab Orchard and Betty Simpson of Brodhead; a stepson, Ronnie Simpson of Brodhead; two brothers, Houston Brock of Dayton, Ohio, and Orbin Brock of Brodhead; a sister, Jewell Brock Benge of Mount Vernon; two grandchildren, Jamie “John” Rollins and Scott Rollins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Gwen Brock; a sister, Sudie Proffit; five brothers, Carl, Earl, Daniel, Dallas and Austin Brock; a stepbrother, Arvil Denny; three stepsisters, Opal Osbourne, Zella Underwood and Thelma Johns.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Spurlin Funeral Home with Audie Dale Brock and Troy Benge officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Casketbearers will be Jason Brown, John Rollins, Scott Rollins, Johnny Benge, Troy Benge and Tracy Benge
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at Spurlin Funeral Home.
