Mary Maurine Melville Ahart, 89, of Danville, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011.
Born Sept. 17, 1922, in Sydney, Iowa to the late Harvey and Suzie Tillman Melville, she was the widow of Harold George Ahart. She was a data processor for Blue Cross Blue Shield and a member of the First Baptist Church of Junction City, the Homemaker’s Club and Body Recall. She was also a home health aide volunteer, enjoyed crocheting, word puzzles and listening to WDFB Christian radio.
Survivors include daughter-in-law, Sandra Willman of Rockford, Iowa; a niece, Doris (Dale) Roeing of Mt. Prospect, Ill.; three grandchildren, Amy (Rob) Noss, Gregory (Amber) Willman and Bradley (Kourtney) Willman; and six great-grandchildren, Annaka, Alana, Avarie and Addison Noss and Evan and Emma Willman; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Samuel Keith Willman and siblings Robert and Richard Melville, Maxine Waskiewicz and Phyllis Grossoehme.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. The Rev. Dale Denton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Rob Noss, Greg Willman, Bradley Willman, Dale Roeing, Jon Wesley and Nate Wesley. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 pm. before the service.
The family suggests donations to the First Baptist Church of Junction City.
