Albert Pujols is a first baseman for the St. Louis Cardinals in Major League Baseball.

Pujols was selected as the National League Rookie of the Year in 2001 after hitting .329 with 37 home runs and 130 RBIs. He was named NL Most Valuable Player in 2005 and 2008. Pujols batted .330 with 41 home runs and 117 RBIs in 2005, and he hit .357 with 37 home runs and 116 RBIs in 2008.

The Dominican Republic native was born on Jan. 16, 1980.
