The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is welcoming four bouncing baby warthogs. They were born on April 4 to the zoo's resident warthog couple, Kumari and Kijani. The three females and one male are thriving, zoo officials say, nearly doubling in weight during their first month. The zoo hopes to have the parents and piglets on display for half-days by mid-May. For now, the mother and babies are bonding inside. The common warthog is a type of wild pig native to Africa, commonly found in the grasslands. At the zoo, people can find them in the African Journey area near the giraffes.
