The cafe, which opened last May as Clementine at the Creative Alliance, was operated by the owners of Clementine on Harford Road. The transfer of operations will take place on Feb. 25.
The space will now operate as the Marquee Lounge, which had been, somewhat confusingly, the overlapping name for the same space off the Creative Alliance’s main lobby.
The parting appears to be amicable. In an emailed message to Creative Alliance members and subscribers, Clementine owner Cristin Dadant said, "Now that the Marquee Lounge has taken off, it's time to get back to our own busy restaurant on Harford Road, our expanding catering business, and our new food market, the Green Onion."
Jeremy Price, who came down from the original Clementine to open the Creative Alliance location, will remain in place.
