Five Maryland football players were honored today by the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Fifth-year senior defensive tackle Joe Vellano was named a first-team All-ACC selection, while senior linebacker Demetrius Hartsfield earned second-team honors.

Freshman receiver-returner Stefon Diggs, fifth-year senior defensive lineman A.J. Francis and fifth-year senior linebacker Kenneth Tate were all named ACC honorable mention.
