The Orioles, who have been dealing with plenty of bad injury news recently, may have gotten some good news Saturday night.
And, according to Orioles manager Buck Showalter, it came back negative. Although Lindstrom’s knee is still swollen and tender, the belief is that it is just a nasty bruise, and the hope is he can avoid a disabled list stint.
“Clean on the X-rays as we expected,” Showalter said. “So it will be the infamous day-to-day.”
Lindstrom is 1-0 with a 2.42 ERA in 22 games, allowing 24 hits and eight walks while striking out 17 in 22 1/3 innings. He missed almost six weeks earlier this season with a right middle finger injury.
