  23. Jessamine fiscal court votes for county-run animal shelter

    The Jessamine County Fiscal Court decided Thursday, June 30, at a special-called meeting that it will take over operations of the county&rsquo;s animal shelter, currently run by The S.A.V.E. Center. As of Friday, July 1, the shelter became a county-run facility after a unanimous vote of approval from the five magistrates present at the meeting. Bobby Day Wilson was absent from the meeting but indicated at previous meetings that he, too, would vote for a county-run shelter.
