Big country. That's what the mind turns to when you hear the name Alan Jackson. Big hits, big sound, song after song that you know and love, even if you don't really know them. That's how omnipresent this performer's music has been. And through all of the "countrypolitan" stuff that was launched from the guitar-toting grin of Garth Brooks, Jackson honed his art. Husky voice with just enough twang, hook-filled songs and gorgeous arrangements. You want to hate it, but you can't.

Reconsider: It's all just a little too perfect, which bothers you.
