Convicted sex offender sentenced in attempted luring case

A convicted sex offender who was once the subject of a Tribune investigation about attempted child abduction was sentenced to 4 ½ years in prison today after he tried to kidnap a 12-year-old boy last year in Elmwood Park, according to the Cook County state’s attorney’s office.
