A dog was pulled out of a three-story Bridgeport neighborhood building after it caught fire this afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the brick three-flat style building in the 800 block of West 33rd Street about 2:15 p.m., but no people were injured, said Chicago Fire Department spokeswoman Meg Ahlheim.

Firefighters were finishing their work when a man was able to run into the building and bring the dog out, apparently unharmed, and reunite it with its owner.
