Ellis treated Self and the crowd to a 20-point and 15-rebound night. Terrence Moore chipped in 18 points for the Falcons. Reggie Williams of Wichita Southeast had 15 points to lead his team.
Wichita West was down nine points at the half, but the Pioneers rallied with a vengeance at home to beat Wichita North 77-62. Dontrez Washington and Daylin Thomas led the Pioneers with 20 points and 19 points, respectively. Travis Gantt was the other high scorer for West with 16 points.
Spencer Robertson led the Redskins with 18 points. The West victory extends its winning streak to six games.
Jante Glenn scored a game-high 19 points for Wichita South, but the Titans fell to Wichita Northwest 51-43. Craig Nicholson led Northwest in the win with 14 points.
Bishop Carroll was up 18-17 on Wichita East at the half, but the Blue Aces torched Carroll for 44 points in the second half to win 61-44. Jalen Carter led the Blue Aces with 15 points. Brian Rohleder was Carroll's top scorer with 14 points.
Salina South rallied hard in the fourth quarter to nip Hutchinson 56-54. The Cougars were down five heading into the final frame, but they outscored the Salthawks 18-11 in the final quarter to win. Justin Goetz had a big night for Hutchinson with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Geneo Grissom tacked on 17 more for Hutchinson, but no other Salthawk had more than four points.
Andy Wiechman and Cody Neberger were the leaders for the Cougars with 18 points and 17 points, respectively. In other Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Division I action, Derby nipped Goddard 60-56 and Maize beat Salina Central 68-60.
