Plainfield South junior outside linebacker Clifton Garrett made an unofficial visit to Ole Miss over the weekend.
The Rebels are looking to add another prospect from Illinois after landing Crete-Monee's Anthony Standifer (2012) and Laquon Treadwell (2013).
"Ole Miss is a beautiful place," Garrett said. "Everyone here is like family, and once you get in town its all about Ole Miss. The coaches at Ole Miss, like head coach (Hugh) Freeze and the rest of the coaches, truly care about the players. The fans at Ole Miss are behind the program 100 percent and the players all want the same thing; they all want that national championship."

Garrett, who has 25 offers, also plans to visit LSU this spring.
Marist's Weishar visits Michigan: Marist junior TE Nic Weishar spent his weekend taking an unofficial visit to Michigan.
"Michigan was awesome," Weishar said. "I wanted to make this visit an overnight visit. I just feel like I'm able to learn more and experience more at each school than just driving up and staying for a few hours, then leaving. I'm able to get a real feel for the school, the coaches and the players. I'm going to try to make the rest of my spring visits the same way. I came away with a good feeling about Michigan and I enjoyed spending time with the coaches and the players."
Weishar is planning to visit Notre Dame on April 13 and hopes to add more spring visits soon.
St. Rita loaded: St. Rita will have a handful of D-I prospects in 2013. Tommy Mister, a transfer from Richards, recently added offers from Western Michigan and Iowa State, joining offers from Ball State, Illinois, Indiana and Notre Dame. Junior defensive back Lamar Dawson has offers from Central and Western Michigan, with several Big Ten schools showing interest. Junior offensive guard Matt Byrne added his first offer this past weekend from Central Michigan.
Hinsdale Central duo visit Wisconsin: Hinsdale Central junior center Brian Allen and junior tight end Ian Bunting spent Saturday at Wisconsin taking in a spring practice at Wisconsin. Allen had an offer from the Badgers before the visit and Bunting added an offer from the Badgers on Saturday night.
"(Wisconsin) wanted to see me in person to make sure I matched up with what I was advertised to be size-wise before they offered me," Bunting said. "Wisconsin is pretty high on the list. They're famous for how they use their tight ends and how they have produced tight ends over the years."
Crete-Monee's Slayton on the rise: Crete-Monee junior defensive end Chris Slayton has seen his recruiting stock take off of late. He added offers last week from Ball State, Toledo and Michigan State, his first BCS and Big Ten conference offer.
"I had a feeling that the offer (from Michigan State) was coming because I have been staying in touch with the coaches about once a week for a while now," Slayton said. "I've never seen the school in person but I've heard they have a great campus and facilities.
"Michigan State also has a great history and tradition and the football program is always good. I'm going to try to get out to see Michigan State in a few weeks, either for a spring practice or the spring game. Getting an early offer from Michigan State is a really big deal."
