The Middlecreek Church of the Brethren is focused on studying the Beatitudes. This week’s emphasis is on “blessed are the meek.” The Rev. John Stoner will bring the message “Perfect Submission.” Members are asked to read Psalm 76 in preparation for the message. The Rev. Linda Stoner will lead the worship.
She is leading a Bible study on the book of Philippians “Joy Under Pressure.” It begins at 6:30 p.m. each Monday and will continue until Nov. 21.

The Lavansville/Bakersville Lutheran Parish will be celebrating the 19th Sunday after Pentecost. Mt. Calvary in Lavansville will begin worship at 9 a.m. Mt. Zion in Bakersville will begin worship at 10:30 a.m.

The Rev. Tom Sprowls’ message in the Berlin Brethren Church Sunday in both the 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services is “You Can Hear God’s Voice” from Habakkuk 2:1, 2. Bibles will be presented to the first graders at the 8 a.m. service. A time of fellowship is at 9:15 a.m. and Sunday school for all ages at 9:30 a.m.
The Women of Faith will serve a soup, salad and sandwich luncheon from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday with a free will offering. Take outs are available. Youth bells will rehearse at 6:10 p.m. Sunday followed by youth meeting at 7 p.m.
