INDIAN LAKE — Seventy-five golfers participated in Camp Allegheny's Saints and Sinners golf outing at Northwinds Golf Course July 28.

 

First place went to Albert Hendershot, Tom Elliott, Jack Hendershot and Larry Williams. Second place went to Rev. Chuck Olson, Andrew Olsen, Roger Harbaugh and Jim Harbaugh.

Jim Harbaugh won the kickers for longest drive on holes No. 6 and 12. Longest putt kickers went to Clarence Knopsnyder on No. 9 and Dallen Selders on No. 18. Closest to the pin kickers were won by Bill Patrick on No. 8 and Harry Sherry on No. 16.

 

The event was coordinated by Revs. Marlin Miller and Harry C. Sherry and Wilma Miller. A lunch followed the event at Camp Allegheny where prizes were awarded to all participants.

 

 

 

Somerset CC Men's League

 

SOMERSET — Wheeler Brothers 29 points were the most by a team Tuesday in the Somerset Country Club Men's League. 

 

The team is made up of Andy McNelly, Jared Spoerlein, Bryan Adams, Craig Oglevee and Don Walker.

 

Most individual points were Clark Yoder 7, Ed Kozuch 6, McNelly 6 and Craig Oglevee 6. Low individual gross were Derek Ellis 35, John Beachley 37, Bob Strope 38, Dave Halverson 38, Ed Kozuch 38, Alec Bittner 38, Matt Zatko 38, Yoder 38 and Mike Boyer 38.

 

Beachley won a longest putt and a closest to the pin kicker. Halverson won a closest to the pin kicker while Lenny Friedline won a longest putt kicker.
