Megan Lonna Yachere has been chosen by the Rotary Club as their student for the month of October.
Yachere is the daughter of Melissa and Rick Yachere of Friedens. She attends Somerset high school and participates in FBLA, SADD, student council, National Honor Society and the school newspaper. She was student council president in her 9th grade year.
She has been on the honor roll from the 9th through 11th grade.
Yachere is a summer camp volunteer counselor, participates in Bible quizzing, piano lessons, voice lessons and works at Harold Shepley and Associates.
Her future plans include obtaining a bachelor degree in nursing with the goal of going on to become a nurse practitioner.
