Sussex Central 30, Parry McCluer 14
Darian Curley had 15 rushes for 156 yards and four touchdowns as Sussex Central used a big fourth quarter to defeat Parry McCluer in the Eastern Section Division 1 second round.
Sussex will host Lunenburg Central at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The winner will advance to the state semifinals.
Sussex accumulated 309 rushing yards behind Curley, Michael Jarret (nine carries for 71 yards) and Deqwandre Jones (13-75).
Parry McCluer was led by Raheem Dawson’s 221 rushing yards on 28 carries.

Franklin 48, Covington 10
Travis Brown had 141 rushing yards on 12 carries and scored four touchdowns in top-seeded Franklin’s second-round Eastern Section Division 1 win over Covington.
Franklin (12-0), which trailed 10-7 with 10:45 left in the second quarter, ran for 370 yards on 42 attempts. Ten Broncos had at least one rushing attempt.
Covington ended the season with a 6-6 record.
Next week, Franklin will play host to No. 4 seed Altavista (10-2), which bounced No. 12 William Campbell 55-22.

King William 24, Manassas Park 21
Freeman McPhearson intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble that ended a potential game-tying or winning drive for Manassas Park (8-4) as the Cavaliers (11-0) edged the Cougars to advance in the Division 2 Eastern Section playoffs in Central Garage.
The third-seeded Cavaliers earned the right to play at second-seeded Goochland next week.
