    The news that Hostess bakery was going out of business struck a chord with many Americans who grew up with iconic Hostess brands such as Twinkies or Wonder Bread. Some attribute the say the loss of the company to corporate greed, though we think changing eating habits had a lot to do with it. The company is primarily a bread maker, and we don’t eat as much bread with meals as we once did. Morning toast has many competitors — energy bars, frozen waffles, yogurt — that weren’t around when Wonder Bead was building strong bodies eight ways — or was it 12 ways? On the snack side, the traditional Hostess snacks also have a host of new competitors. Which one was. Or is, your favorite?
