  1. ACC files lawsuit against Maryland in North Carolina court

University of Maryland President Wallace D. Loh has asserted repeatedly that the school would not end up paying the full exit fee of more than $50 million to the Atlantic Coast Conference. Loh, a Yale law graduate, has said the court would throw that penalty out.

  3. Big Ten brings Maryland new chances for study, research

Few would argue that the University of Maryland's decision earlier this week to join the Big Ten isn't about the money — $24 million a year in television revenue.

Rodney and Renee Brooks live near 101st and Central Avenue in Watts, and it was in that house — a modest two-story, brown stucco cube — that they raised six extraordinary children.

  7. Maryland to Big Ten another example of eroding traditions

As a University of Maryland graduate and a member of the Fourth Estate’s sporting wing, I’ve been asked my take on the alma mater’s athletic departure from the ACC to the Big Ten. After careful consideration, I point out that Peyton...

  13. Change will be good for Maryland sports

As the Maryland basketball beat writer for The Sun for more than a decade, I always enjoyed making multiple trips to the state of North Carolina every winter. I saw Len Bias single-handedly give North Carolina its first defeat in a then brand-new Dean Dome. I witnessed the obnoxious Duke students at Cameron Indoor Stadium chanting “CBA ... CBA ... CBA ...”  in the direction of future NBA player Walt Williams.  I had a front-row seat for more than a few great ACC tournament games.

  15. Teel Time: How should ACC respond to Maryland's Big Ten move?

For someone who grew up watching Howard White, Randy White and Lefty Driesell compete in the ACC, seeing the University of Maryland leave the conference for the Big Ten is illogical if not blasphemous. But realignment scoffs at tradition, projected television revenue turns heads and we move on.
