    Former Penn State President Graham Spanier filed court documents to withdraw his lawsuit.  He was suing Penn State for access to emails related to discussions about the handling of child sex abuse allegations against Jerry Sandusky.   A court date for August is cancelled as a result of Spanier withdrawing his lawsuit.  No reason was given for Spanier's decision to drop the lawsuit.

  15. Big Ten announces additional sanctions on Penn State

    The Big Ten Council of Presidents and Chancellors announced the conference will be adding to Penn State's penalties. Penn State will be banned from participating in the conference championship game for four years, concurrent with the NCAA's bowl ban.
