  7. Edward Burns returns to his roots

About halfway through writing the script for "The Fitzgerald Family Christmas" (which opens at the Wilmette Theatre next week), Edward Burns says he found himself at a crossroad. "Do I want to make the big, crazy, funny, holly-jolly Christmas Irish family movie?" he recalled when we spoke last week, "or do I want to go for something a little more grounded in the real world and a little more serious?"

Keanna is a bright, energetic, and loving fourteen-year-old young lady. At times Keanna can be shy, but once she warms up to you she is very talkative.  Keanna enjoys playing games with other children.  She loves singing, dancing, volleyball and her favorite activity is swimming.  She is very interested in music and loves to sing to Rock Band.  Some of her other hobbies include dressing up, crocheting and playing computer games. She loves to watch Tyler Perry movies, and in general loves comedy films. Keanna is extremely smart and does very well in school.  Keanna loves interacting with peers and makes friends easily.  She can be sweet and very helpful around the house, mostly she enjoys helping prepare dinner.  She enjoys the outdoors and riding her bicycle. Keanna would like a home with other children so that she would have playmates; however, she states that she would not mind being an only child either. If there are other children in the home, she prefers them to be close to her age or older.  Keanna has siblings that she would like to continue to have contact with. Keanna enjoys lots of attention. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.

  17. Northwestern tackles the career (and controversies) of Tyler Perry

There are no sacred cows on the NBC sitcom "30 Rock." The show happily skewers its own network along with any number of pop-culture phenomena, and last week's episode was no different, with a running joke aimed squarely in the direction of Tyler Perry, featuring scenes from a movie (must I say it? fictitious!) called "<a href="http://bio.tribune.com/TracyJordan">Tracy Jordan</a>'s Aunt Phatso Goes to the Hospital Goes to Jail."
