  1. 'Shameless' season 3 review: Bumpy start but room to grow

To spend time with the Gallaghers, of Chicago's South Side and Showtime's Sunday night lineup, is to enter a world of unrelenting near chaos. Almost every time the viewer blinks, an eye is blackened or love is made or fraud is committed.

  3. 'Dexter' recap, 'Helter Skelter'

Where can a serial killer feel safe?
Where can a serial killer feel safe? While that isn't a question I would normally ask, seeing as serial killers such as Dexter have proven themselves capable of handling any surprises that come their way, the question arises tonight. Out comes Dexter'...

  5. Comedy troupe (Long Pause) not missing a beat

Chicago sketch comedy in its most classic form tends to be a stripped-down affair. Stylistically, it is the opposite of "Saturday Night Live." You won't see elaborate costumes or much in the way of set design. Street clothes and a bare stage are the norm because it's the cheapest and easiest option for performers who also happen to juggling day jobs. That means the emphasis is on strong acting and writing. Simple, clean, effective.

  7. 'Dexter' recap, 'Chemistry' with a serial killer

Deb pops the big question tonight. Dexter, will you ... murder your girlfriend for me?
Deb pops the big question tonight. Dexter, will you ... murder your girlfriend for me? Okay, so Deb doesn't actually ask Dexter to do it. Nor does she know that Dexter is lying in bed next to a very naked Hannah at the time. But she does imply that it is...

"I'll face the depths by myself."
"I'll face the depths by myself."  Dexter is once again alone, if you don't count the Dark Passenger. After Deb spends the entire episode protecting Dexter in several cases from her fellow police officers, she realizes she cannot continue to be a part of...

  11. 'Dexter' recap, season 7 episode 3, 'Buck the System'

Even for Dexter, there was a lot of aggression tonight. The death total is up to four, with the two imagined killings by Dexter of the post-woman and Masuka, Louis' murder by the Ukrainian mobster, and the waitress who was killed by Speltzer.
