1. 'The Walking Dead' recap, episode 305: 'Say the Word'

The most disturbing occurrence of this week's episode of The Walking Dead had to be when Rick — still grieving the death of his estranged wife, Lori — finds the room of the prison where she recently gave birth to their baby via fatal C-section, crawls around on the floor running his hands through what appears to be the afterbirth and finds the zombie that presumably gorged on her corpse sitting against the wall with its belly bloated from the grisly feast, like it had just gorged on five Taco Bell Big Box Meals. Rick shoves his revolver into its mouth (it appears to have some of her hair still stuck to its face) and pulls the trigger, and then repeatedly stabs its swollen breadbasket containing her remains with his KA-BAR.

  7. Confronting reality vs. myth of motherhood

Growing up in a big family, Jessica Valenti loved babies and always knew she wanted kids. But the stress of parenting a 2-pound preemie, born after preeclampsia and an emergency C-section, hit her hard. It was two months before her daughter could go home from the hospital, and even when her baby's health stabilized, Valenti struggled with a feeling no parenting book had prepared her for.

Well, if you didn't have thick, hot tears streaming down your swollen cheeks by the end of Sunday night's episode of The Walking Dead, check your pulse, because you might be a heartless zombie yourself! Or you might just be too tough and cool to cry, like me.

  11. 'The Walking Dead' recap, episode 302: 'Sick'

Thanks "The Walking Dead", now I no longer have to wonder what a zombie's panties look like. And I no longer have to wonder what it would be like to see a zombie in its panties have its stomach slit open with a pocket knife. It made me feel a little ashamed and sad, but there are probably some real sick puppies out there who get turned on by that kind of stuff!

  15. The birth of a trend: Posting childbirth videos online

Google "childbirth video," and hundreds of videos pop up, some with millions of views. "The Unassisted Birth of Jason Shawn II," a YouTube video which shows a woman grunting and shrieking in an inflatable pool before giving birth on her own, has 3.5 million views, with a lot of opinionated strangers weighing in on this intensely personal moment.
