St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church will hold a basket bingo Sunday, featuring the popular Vera Bradley and Coach handbags as the prizes.
The games begin at 2 p.m. at the Hancock Fire Hall, Fulton and High streets.
Doors open at noon, and lunch will be available.
Tickets cost $25 for 24 games and can be purchased in advance through the church office or at the door on Sunday.
All proceeds will be used to help the church’s many ministries.

Church planning fundraiser for sick mother
Members of Hancock United Methodist Church have made plans for a fundraiser to help the medical expenses of one of their own, who is seriously ill.
Randi Twigg Wishard, a local young mother with two sons, is in need of a transplant of multiple organs.
The transplant is to take place soon at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Her condition stems from diabetes, which she has had since early childhood.
On Saturday, Jan. 28, the church will hold a silent auction with a soup and sandwich bar.
Proceeds will benefit Randi through the Mid-Atlantic Multivisceral Transplant Fund. The silent auction will feature themed baskets, kitchen items, gift certificates and other items.
Soup and sandwiches will also be for sale.
Hours of the event are 4 to 8 p.m. in the church’s upper room hall.
Winners named in decorating contest
It’s official. The winners for the Christmas in Hancock Contest, sponsored by Hancock in Motion are: Richard Clingerman for “Most Decorative;” Sharon Knight for “Prettiest;” Peggy McCallister for “Judges Choice;” and Terry McNabb for “Best Nativity.”
You can be sure that many citizens enjoyed decorating for the season, and our town looked quite nice.
