Washington Square United Methodist Church, at 538 Washington Ave. in Hagerstown, will present a Christmas cantata titled “A Song in the Air” by Dennis and Nan Allen Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Washington Square sanctuary.
Singers from Washington Square, St. Matthew’s and Grace UMC choirs will participate with direction by Rita Haines.
There will also be a traditional nativity pageant with live animals. Refreshments will be served after the program in the pew hall and children can also visit the nativity animals. The community is invited to hear the joyful music. A goodwill offering will be taken.
Boy Scouts selling Christmas trees
The Boy Scouts of Washington County are selling live Christmas trees at the Walmart parking lot on Garland Groh Boulevard.
The trees range in price from $30 to $50. Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. The trees will be available until Dec. 22.
Remember others
The Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, the Rescue Mission, the service organizations and area food banks all need our help at this time of the year. By donating your time or money, you are giving those in need a much happier holiday.
