Hilltop Christian Fellowship will hold a community children’s Christmas party Friday from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
There will be food, games, crafts, a visit from Santa Claus and a puppet show.

Breakfast with Santa
The Fort Frederick Ruritan Club will host Breakfast with Santa Saturday at 8 a.m.
The event will be at the Big Pool Civic Center and will include all-you-can-eat pancakes, with sausage, sausage gravy, puddin’ and eggs.
Breakfast costs $6 for adults, $3 for those ages 5 to 12 and is free for those younger than 5.
Yuletide Yummies
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Big Pool will host Yuletide Yummies Saturday, beginning at 5 p.m.
The event will include homemade soups and sandwiches, a white elephant table and homemade holiday baked goods, including cookies, candies, pies and cakes.
Orders for Christmas cookies will be taken.
Country butchering
Wilson Ruritan Club will hold its country butchering and pancake breakfast Saturday, beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the club, which is west of Huyetts Crossroads on U.S. 40.
The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes with one serving of puddin’ or pon haus or sausage patty or sausage gravy, coffee and orange juice.
The breakfast costs $4.50. To order in advance, call 301-582-3776.
Chicken and waffles
The Clear Spring Lions Club will serve its annual chicken and waffle supper Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ.
Tickets cost $7 for adults, $4 for those younger than 12 and are free for preschoolers. Tickets will be sold at the door.
The menu consists of homemade waffles, chunky chicken gravy, coleslaw, homemade cake, coffee and water. The supper is all you can eat, and carryout will be available.
Proceeds will benefit the Lions Club community projects.
The church is on the corner of Md. 68 and Cumberland Street.
