The Chewsville Lions Club is accepting donations of resellable items (no TVs) for its annual yard sale to be held Saturday, Sept. 29, along Jefferson Boulevard near the Pools Patios and Porches shop in Chewsville.

Messiah’s Mansion on display this week
Messiah’s Mansion is available through Sunday as a replica of the Old Testament tabernacle has been erected on the grounds of the Review and Herald Publishing Association.
Free tours run from 1 to 7 p.m. daily.
The life-size Bible Sanctuary — a scene from the time of Moses — will play out in Hagerstown.
Six area churches and Highland View Academy are cooperating to host the educational display.
The recreated tabernacle will be at 55 W. Oak Ridge Drive.

According to the book of Exodus, the people of Israel built a large, portable tent as a temple for their God as they traveled through the Sinai desert.
Chris Holland, pastor of Hagerstown Seventh-day Adventist Church, said people will discover “the gospel symbols in the Old Testament and how they lift up Jesus.”
