The Women’s Club will hold its annual fall bargain sale Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the club, 31 S. Prospect St. in Hagerstown.
Gently used clothing and other items will be available for purchase. The club provides low-cost housing in the community and also a place for members to meet.
On Sunday, Oct. 14, Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program will host its second annual Longaberger basket bingo at The Improved Order of Red Men Tribe 84.
Doors open at 11 a.m., lunch will be served at noon and bingo begins at 1 p.m.
Tickets cost $25, which includes lunch and 25 games. There will be tip jars, raffles and runner-up prizes.
All baskets are new from the fall catalog and include the fall holiday baskets. Each basket will be filled.
All proceeds benefit the Habitat for Humanity Women Build program. Attendees must be 18 to participate.

Senior club to meet
The Maugansville Senior Friendship Club will meet Tuesday, Oct. 2, at noon at the Western Sizzlin’ restaurant on York Road in Halfway. Members are asked to bring items for Holly Place. Upcoming activities will be discussed as well as future meeting locations. The group will also talk about programs available at the senior center.
Trinity United Church of Christ in State Line, Pa., will host tea luncheons this weekend. There will be two tea seatings Saturday at noon and 1 p.m. On Sunday, tea will be served at 1 p.m.
The luncheon includes choice of soup or salad, scones, assortment of tea sandwiches, an array of desserts along with a bottomless cup of hot tea, iced tea or lemonade.
The menu will feature fall flavors and favorites. Door prizes will be awarded. All proceeds benefit the church ministry.

BPW plans gathering
At its Monday, Oct. 1 monthly meeting at Hager Hall on Dual Highway, the local chapter of Business and Professional Women will have three guest speakers to celebrate National Business and Professional Women’s Week, which is Oct. 14 to 20.
Carol Craig of Hair After (Hagerstown), Vickie Hrabal of Oak Hill Interior Designs (Hagerstown) and Jo Ellen Soesbee of ToolBox TomGirl (Montgomery County) will share their professional experiences.
Representatives from the city of Hagerstown and county commissioners will present a proclamation declaring National Business and Professional Women’s Week. Tickets cost $16. Networking begins at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner is at 6 p.m. RSVP to Sandy Mills at 301-302-8237 by Saturday.
