Families enjoyed listening to guest readers, used computers to find helpful websites, were shown educational apps for their home devices, and were treated to ice cream floats.
Parents learned strategies to use at home to help their children become successful at reading.
Students were given a free book and signed pledges to read 30 minutes a day for the month.
Special thanks to teacher Chris Grove for portraying “The Cat in the Hat” character and to Melanie Newman for being a guest reader.
