The Maugansville Ruritan Club is offering four $1,000 college scholarships to seniors of both private and public high schools in the North End and the Maugansville area.
Applications are available in the school’s guidance office and need to be received by March 31. All information, including where to return and phone numbers for further inquiries, are on the forms.
Ruritan pancake breakfast
The Maugansville Ruritan Club will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday, Feb. 23, from 6:30 to 11 a.m. at its blue community center on Maugans Avenue.
The menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, juice, coffee and tea.
Breakfast costs $5.50 for adults, $3 for those ages 6 to 12, and is free for those ages 5 and younger.
There is plenty of free parking, and the lines move quickly.
Spaghetti dinner, auction tonight
Broadfording Christian Academy will hold its annual spaghetti dinner and auction tonight at the school, 13535 Broadfording Church Road.
Numerous items will be auctioned.
The dinner costs $8 for adults and $4 for children.
The dinner starts at 4 p.m. The auction is free.
There will also be bake and soup items for sale, music and baby-sitting services.

Basket bingo
A basket bingo will be held Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Maugansville Fire Station, 13730 Maugans Ave.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and bingo begins at 1 p.m.
