Hagerstown TOPS Chapter 0446 held its weekly meeting Nov. 7.
The chapter welcomed its newest members and shared news of members who are out for illness.
Roll call showed more losses than gains recorded, but totals gave the group a net gain for the week.
The thinner winner of the week was Carole K. with 3.4 pounds lost and second was Thelma L. with 2 pounds lost.
The ha-ha prize went unclaimed for the ninth week in a row and will be $10 for the next meeting. To qualify, members must be present and record a loss.
The group discussed alternative ways to cope with stress other than eating. Several good ideas were shared.
Next week will be the monthly awards program, along with the announcement of a new team contest for the holidays titled “Save the Turkey.” The contest begins Nov. 21 and will end Dec. 19.
The program will be on healthy eating for healthy living, and the chapter will start a series of programs on meal planning.
