Tickets cost $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers.
Weekly Thursday night bingo planned
The Maugansville Volunteer Fire Departmant holds bingo every Thursday at the fire company, 13730 Maugansville Road.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., early birds start at 6:30 p.m. and regular games begin at 7 p.m.
Junior packages cost $23 and include five regular games, a pack of special games, one pack of cookies, two wild card double bingo, two you pick ’ems and two bonanzas. Senior packages cost $28 and contain an extra pack of special games.
There will be tip jars and food for purchase from the kitchen.
The weekly bingo nights are open to the public for those ages 18 and older.
Note: If more than 100 are in attendance, the payout on all games will be $100 (not $50). Proceeds benefit the fire department.

New preschool opens at Christian Lutheran
Pastor Stephanie Steele has announced the opening of Spread Your Wings Learning Center at Christ Lutheran Church, 216 N. Cleveland Ave. in Hagerstown.
The preschool program for ages 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds is modeled after the Maryland state standards for kindergarten readiness. The two-day program costs $130 per month and $160 per month for the three-day program.

Sports card show to be held Jan. 20
A sports card show will be held Sunday, Jan 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ruritan Club building, 18007 Maugans Ave. There will be 35 vendor tables and door prizes. Admission is free.
