This month, the Lions will also attend a pie call at Reeders Memorial Home on Tuesday, Feb. 5, and a Valentine’s Day party at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home on Thursday, Feb. 14.
Pancake supper planned
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 209 W. Main St., Sharpsburg, will hold a pancake supper on Shrove Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. The menu consists of pancakes, sausage and applesauce. The community is invited. The cost will be by donation.
Pancake breakfast
Potomac Valley Fire Co. will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the fire hall.
The breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, coffee and juice.
Tickets cost $6 for adults. Those ages 5 and younger eat for free.
Horse show to be held
The Saddles ’n’ Spurs 4-H Club will sponsor the Washington County Open Model Horse Show at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center’s multipurpose building Sunday, Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The show is open to those ages 18 and younger.

Pharmacy sold
After 36 years in business, Sally and Gary Haas sold the Boonsboro Pharmacy to another locally independent pharmacy Dec. 31.
