The Washington County Department of Planning and Zoning will hold a public meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at Hagerstown Community College, room 224, at the ARCC, at 11400 Robinwood Drive to hear comments from the community concerning the Land Preservation, Parks and Recreation Plan.
The Humane Society of Washington County is urging all dog and horse owners to attend the meeting to express their interest in one or multiple off-leash dog parks and riding trails in Washington County.
Lenten services
Lenten services will be held Monday, April 2, through Thursday, April 5, at noon at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 N. Potomac St. in Hagerstown.
The speaker will be the Rev. Helen Woodard.
A soup, sandwich, beverage and dessert luncheon will be available in the fellowship hall following the services.
The luncheons costs $6.
