The North Hagerstown High School Key Club will hold its inaugural car, truck and motorcycle show Saturday, June 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the North High parking lot. Registration will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Registration costs $12 in advance or $15 on the day of the event.

Carol E. was the week’s thinner winner, followed by Joanne Ph. at the weekly TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0446 meeting. Cynthia presented numerous awards earned during April. She reported a chapter net loss of 42.8 pounds for the month.

TOPS Chapter 0077 members who weighed in at the last meeting lost a total of 28 1/4 pounds. The top losers were Carol L. with 2.5 pounds and Louise H. with 1.5 pounds. Carol won the Git-R-Done prize. Monthly awards were presented. In April, 79 members weighed in and lost a total of 43.5 pounds. Pat H. and Terry H. got top honors in their divisions for monthly losses of 4.5 pounds and 5.75 pounds, respectively. Sharon T. and Carol L. won shining star awards.

John Wesley U.M. Church to hold concert
John Wesley United Methodist Church, 129 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown, will present its 10th annual spring concert Sunday at 4 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The concert will feature the chancel, contemporary, children’s and handbell choirs, all under the direction of new Director of Music Jonathan Giblin.
Following the concert, a reception honoring Giblin and thanking him for his service to the church since January will be held. Admission is free. Plenty of free parking is available in the City Market lot.
Chicken barbecue planned Saturday
Longmeadow Fire Co. will hold a chicken barbecue Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until sold out. Dinners cost $7.50, which includes half-chicken and choice of two sides (applesauce, baked beans or coleslaw ) and roll. It costs $6 for a half-chicken only.
NHHS Class of ‘61 plans 50th reunion
North Hagerstown High School, Class of 1961 will meet for their 50th class reunion the weekend of Oct. 21 beginning with a mixer at Morris Frock American Legion on Northern Avenue on Friday, Oct. 21, a dinner dance at Fountain Head Country Club on Oct. 22 and a breakfast at the Ruritan Club on Maugans Avenue on Oct. 23.

Memorial Day
Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 will host its Memorial Day program in front of the Washington County Courthouse on Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m.
