Pancake supper Saturday at Salem Reformed Church

Salem Reformed Church will hold a pancake supper Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The meal consists of pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit and a drink. The event is sponsored by IHOP.  

There is no charge for the meal, but a love offering will be accepted.

The event will help the youth mission trip to Lyons, N.Y. The youth, in turn, will help the elderly and handicapped by doing any type of work that might be needed, such as carpentry or painting.  

The church is on Salem Church Road off Cearfoss Pike.



Club holding yard sale

The Hagerstown Business and Professional Women’s Club is holding a yard sale Saturday, June 18, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 17815 Garden View Road in Maugansville.

Housewares, books, jewelry, clothes and miscellaneous items will be sold. The proceeds will benefit the club’s scholarship program and community projects.



Roast beef dinner

Grace United Methodist Church, at 712 W. Church St. in Hagers-town, will hold a roast beef dinner and silent auction Friday, June 24, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The menu will consist of mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cole slaw, rolls and butter, lemonade, coffee or tea.  Dessert will be available.  

Tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for those ages 6 to 12. Those 5 and younger will be admitted free. Hot dogs will be provided instead of roast beef for the children if desired.  

All proceeds will benefit the church budget.  



Blood drive planned

Susquehanna Bank is sponsoring a blood drive Tuesday, June 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Hagerstown Convention Center, 1910 Dual Highway, Hagerstown.
