Senior center events outlined

Smithsburg Senior Site calendar: Wednesday, 10 a.m. bingo; Friday, 10 a.m. Trivial Pursuit and word search;  Monday, June 20, 10 a.m., “Let’s Talk About Diabetes” with Louise Wyant.
 

Fun in the park on Father’s Day  

 Food, kids carnival games, John Deere raffle and door prizes will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Smithsburg Lions Community Park. All door prizes and auction items were donated by local businesses. The event is sponsored by Smithsburg Lions Club.
 
Smithsburg carnival

Smithsburg Community Volunteer Fire Co. carnival is 6 to 11 p.m. June 27 to July 2, at 22 N. Main St., Smithsburg. Ride-all-night specials are $15, $10 on Thursday. Rides are provided by Pennwood Amusements. Entertainment is at 7 and 10 p.m. nightly, and includes The Spotlight’s On You Karaoke, Monday; Compromise, Tuesday; Richie Fields, Wednesday; Stevens Family, Thursday; Kevin Booth, Friday; and Possum Holler, Saturday. A fireworks display will be at 9:30 p.m. Friday, July 1.
