St. Ann Roman Catholic Church on Oak Hill Avenue in Hagerstown will offer soup suppers on Fridays during Lent.
Mass will be at 6 p.m., followed by soup, bread, and beverages in the parish hall. Monetary donations will go to local food banks.
Veterans roundtable meets at Legion home
The Potomac Highlands World War II Roundtable meets the first Wednesday of every month at Morris Frock Post 42 American Legion at 405 Northern Ave. in Hagerstown. WWII veterans are invited, as well as the public.
There is no admission to attend. The meetings are from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and there are usually one or two guest speakers.

TOPS 0077
The weekly TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0077 meeting was held Tuesday due to the practice of following the Washington County Public Schools’ closure policy. The meeting will be moved to Tuesday if there is a school delay or closing on Mondays.
Losses for the week totaled 22 pounds. The best TOPS losers were Charlie House and JoAnn M. The best KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) losers were Joan Budny, Nancy Itnyre and Rose Shockey.
Wanda Gerstner won the ha-ha prize. The no-no snack for the week is cookies.
Team No. 1 was the winner in the team challenge with a total of 13 1/2 pounds lost.
Peggy Robinson won the monthly get-r-done prize for TOPS, while Jean Betker won for KOPS.
The program was a demonstration by Jean Hart on scarf-tying techniques. Patsy Martin gave a quiz on remembering old slogans.
Feb. 11 will be a play money auction.
The group meets Mondays at First Christian Church, 1345 Potomac Ave. in Hagerstown.

TOPS Chapter 0446 in Hagerstown met Jan. 30. The chapter had a net loss for the week. The thinner winner was Marie E. with 5.2 pounds lost. The weekly ha-ha drawing was won by Mary M.
