Students raise pennies for patients

The class was rewarded with lunch provided by Olive Garden of Hagerstown on March 22. Olive garden employees Julia Robertson and Dustin Perrott delivered lunch to the school. Also, CSES students recently held a food drive to benefit the Clear Spring Food Bank and donated 1,039 food items.
Clyde Roberts honored by Arts Council
There will be a show honoring Clyde Roberts at the Washington County Arts Council Gallery, 14 W. Washington St. in downtown Hagerstown.
Clyde Roberts’ paintings will be on display Friday through May 1. His son, Kent Roberts, and his daughter, Cindy Roberts Downs, will feature work at the show as well as several of his former students and friends.
Clyde Roberts had a huge influence on art in Washington County, and those who owe the nurturing of their talent to become better artists to him invite the community to attend this tribute. The opening is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 13. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Sunrise service, breakfast
Hilltop Christian Fellowship and St. John’s United Church of Christ offer a community-wide service of Easter Sunrise Service of Worship at Little Rose Hill Cemetery, beginning at 6:30 am on Sunday. Breakfast will follow at 7 a.m. in the St. John’s UCC Fellowship Hall.
