Rotary Club of Hagerstown-Sunrise has announced its board and committee chairs for the 2012-13 year.
President, Al Smith; vice president, William Christoffel; secretary, Carmen Fox; treasurer, Jodi Blair; past president, David Jordan; sergeant-at-arms, Jeff Rubino; club service committee, Laurel Good; membership committee, James Marshall; foundation committee, T.O. The club meets every Friday morning for a buffet breakfast at the Academy Theater, 58 E. Washington St. in Hagerstown. The meeting begins at 7:30 a.m. and generally concludes at 8:30 a.m.
The North/South 55th class reunion will be held Sept. 7 at the DM Bowman House and Sept. 8 at Hager Hall.
The event costs $30 per person, which includes both days.
Both events will be held at 6 p.m.

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 0077 recorded total losses of 40 1/4 pounds for the week.
Linda Baker and Linda Siebert were the best TOPS losers. The best KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) losers were Deloris Hays and Dorothy Smith.
Bonnie Henry won the ha-ha prize. Chips are the no-no snack for the week.
The monthly TOPS get-r-done prize was won by Patsy Martin. Judy Purdham won for KOPS.
Kathy Freese presented the program. She shared her personal life journey with food and weight issues.
Collections for the Ronald McDonald House will begin this week and continue through August.

Crafters, flea market and yard sale vendors are wanted for Shiloh United Methodist Church’s outdoor Fun Fest.
Spaces are available for $10. The event will be at the church Saturday, Sept. 15, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The church is at 19731 Shiloh Church Road.
If anyone is interested in obtaining a space, call Dianne Keller at the church at 30l-797-4083 by Sept. 8.
There will also be music, antique cars, children’s games and a karate demonstration.
Breakfast and lunch will be available, along with homemade soups, sandwiches and baked goods.
McConnell honored by Rotary International
Jim McConnell, a member of Rotary Club of Long Meadows, was recently recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary International Foundation.
McConnell’s contributions to the foundation will go toward advancing Rotary International’s six areas of focus, which are peace and conflict prevention/resolution; disease prevention and treatment; water and sanitation; maternal and child health; basic education and literacy; and economic and community development.
McConnell’s recognition was presented to him by Jim Mills, club president for 2011-12.
Line dancing planned
The Country Western Dance Association will hold line dancing Saturday from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Maugansville Ruritan Club on Maugans Avenue.
The dance is open to the public. It costs $7 for nonmembers and $5 for members.
